The Exhibition Development Fund (EDF) supports the research phase in the development of touring exhibitions. Contemporary Art Tasmania is the EDF agency in Tasmania and manages all aspects of the development and tour of travelling exhibitions of contemporary visual culture through intrastate and national public gallery networks.

Over the last three decades many successful and outstanding exhibitions have been funded via this program throughout Tasmanian public galleries. Recent exhibitions developed through EDF include: Testing Ground (curated by Julie Gough for Salamanca Arts Centre), Missing Presumed Dead (curated by Paul Snell for Devonport Regional Gallery), and Made in China Australia (curated by Greg Leong for Salamanca Arts Centre),

Independent or institutional curators may apply for EDF, but the proposal and application form are required to be developed and submitted through the agency of a Tasmanian public gallery. For further information on EDF and how to apply, please contact Colin Langridge. colin@contemporaryart.org.au
