CURATOR: KYLIE JOHNSON // The Establishment series of projects includes exhibitions, talks, performance, publications and social gatherings. Inflight (Hobart), Taxonomy (Hobart) and Sawtooth (Launceston) will each ‘take-over’ the CAST gallery for a period of one-week (7 days) to curate a gallery-based project of their choice.

CURATOR: ALICIA KING // Bad Samaratins presents video work and documentation by international contemporary artists using the physical body as a tool for challenging social and political engagement. Mia Bailey, Kira O’Reilly and the Voina group use the immediacy of video as medium and documentary tool to explore differing reactions to the body politic. Through varying approaches the works explore living in a political environment in which the artists adopt depictive or real engagement in acts of so-called deviance - going against the law or national ideology – as a mode of creating work reflective of the political climate in which they live.
