It is made up of leading national and international artists who are interested in linking the possibility of change, sequence and intervention into an engagement with public art practice. It provides a rare opportunity for a range of different contemporary art organisations to work together on the realisation of a trans-institutional project that consists of 13 commissions, a symposium, and a significant publication that documents the series.

CURATOR: SARAH JONES // Erotographomania (originally a term for perverse and obsessive love letter writing) aims to make parallels between the unconscious investment that artists make to address an audience and the intense erotic delusions played out in the exchange of love letters. Both produce a circuit of libidinal exchange that demands recognition. Both involve a fraught transferential displacement centred on an object of communication.
